The Company complies with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as the Norwegian Code of Practice for Corporate Governance.  There are also implemented systems for communication, monitoring, responsibility and incentives in place that create the greatest value over time, long term health and success for the Company, as well as the shareholders’ return on their investments.
 
 

In 2006, the Group did not have any employees. Commercial and construction management were undertaken by subcontracted parties under management contracts.  Mr. Ole Geir Hagen acted as the Company’s CEO & President until December 31, 2006 under a management contract.  Effective January 2nd, 2007 Mr. Hagen was appointed CFO of Viking Drilling ASA and served in this position until his resignation in January of 2008. 

 

Effective January 2, 2007, Mr. W. Dennis Heagney, was appointed CEO & President of Viking Drilling ASA and all of its subsidiaries.  Also effective January 2nd, 2007, Ms. Youllonda Driver, was appointed Controller of Viking Drilling ASA and CFO of all of its subsidiaries. Mr. Neils Erik Feilberg is presently acting as the CFO of Viking Drilling ASA under a management contract.  Viking Offshore (USA) Inc. operates under a managed services agreement with the rig owning companies and has four employees at its offices in Houston, Texas.

 

The Group does not have any employees onboard the rigs today. 

The Group complies with its expressed attitude that there shall be no discrimination based on race, religion and gender.  60% of the directors and 75% of the administrative staff are women.
